Operation ABC Bitch-Slap

topic posted Thu, April 17, 2008 - 2:32 PM by  Ian
Hey kids. So I watched the 'debate' last night and, holy moly, did I get miffed!

I mean, this wasn't about being pro-Clinton or Obama: it was about a network trying on the one hand to use tabloid idiocy to skewer one candidate and on the other, treat its audience like learning-impaired panda turds. And for 51 scintillatingly despicable minutes yet.

So, as a sassy citizen, I duly compiled a list of ABC News contacts listed below and have, for your pleasure, composed a note you might send. And, if you're bored, resend. Over and over and, preferably, over. And please! Feel free to express your own disgust in that special way that's all yours.

SUBJECT: How's your post-'debate' shame doin'?

Dear craven ABC attack droid enabler,

On the verge of depression, endless war, viral joblessness, increasingly ignored homeless vets, starving millions, healthcare-deprived millions more, a deteriorating military and basic infrastructure and the ongoing systematic shredding of the Constitution, you spend 51 minutes asking about lapel pins, who's more patriotic and slaver over the latest installment of what will clearly be a hundred year coverage of Rev, Wright.

Could get despicable.

Upside: I never have to waste money on products advertised on ABC. Also, I am relieved of ever having to suffer through an of your broadcasts. So thanks for that.

Your humble ex-viewer,

    Refreshing wasn't it~?

Finally this guy who popped in from nowhere is being asked who and what he is all about.

His gross misrepresentations of who and what he is are being sussed out and he's looking dirtier and dirtier by the day.

Being asked about flag pins. being asked for the 9,067th time about a pastor he hasn't attended to in years and has already condemned 9,076 times. being grilled on whether a guy he doesn't talk to is patriotic, about being in a room with a mess of other people with some dumbass hippie means that he's a seceretly bomb-throwing hippie himself.

Yes, all the *important* stuff. But, of course, and in a similar register, McCain calling his wife a "cunt" in front of the press, happily hanging out with at least two lunatic preachers NOW, and admitting to knowing nothing about economics--immaterial, si?

You're an absurdity wrapped in a corn muffin of irrelevance.

Obama is like Jimmy Jones and the Obamanites are like the idiots who drank the poison

It's a sick psychotic cult of fanatics and crazies who can't tolerate it that people want to know what facts underpin his clams of character and judgment.

If the facts prove he is a liar then you sick psycho cultists should go find another god before whom to prostrate yourselves in prayer. .

Oh Geebus look at what the local Troll is up to now.

What about Canada the nation of pedophiles?
What you going to do about being a member of a pedophile nation?
You are all up about what happens in the USA yet you are doing nothing to protect the children from the monsters you are breeding at home.

            Hypocrisy from hell on steroids.

            I'm kind of curious:
How it is that Canada is a Nation of Pedophiles and nothing is done about it?
Its been only recently that you guys made any effort to assemble even the most basic of legal structures to protect children - and you don't enforce them - and here you are holding Canada up as a model for the world.

tinyurl.com/2j49ud ( pedophiles run free in Canada)

tinyurl.com/2fuk28 ( Canada has no national child porn regulations)

tinyurl.com/w9el8 ( Canadian Pedophiles by the thousands - literally thousands)
            tinyurl.com/2qs2xj More
            tinyurl.com/26ztv9 more

            This paragraph was horribly telling
            ||||||||||||||||||||
They travel to places where they wrongly assume that sex with children is acceptable or they think that there are no consequences. Some seek children with the misconception that the younger the prostitute, the less likely they will be infected with AIDS. Some are seeking new sexual experiences they would not attempt at home. Some don't even realize their partners are underage.
            ||||||||||||||||||||||| tinyurl.com/2qs2xj

If it's wrong at home why is it OK elsewhere?

            Canada, a nation of pedophiles.

And there's Canadians on their high horse condemning the USA and arrogantly pretending to have a valid opinion about anything that happens in the USA ?

            Gimmie a break~!!

And the pressure mounts from the whole world on Canada to do something: tinyurl.com/2ntkc9 tinyurl.com/39vpfc
And finally thanks to much pressure from the US and others Canada is making some halting effort: tinyurl.com/3xrspc. But it’s too little too late. I mean these laws have been on the books since 1997 and you are only not prosecuting your FIRST defendant - and the newspapers are documenting THOUSANDS of pedophiles?

The debate reeked of direction from authoritarian media hegemonies, replete with inane
stupidities, and offering up nothing but the same corporate asskissing over and over.
I think the reservoir of people who care to hold up that standard of fake journalism is
shrinking day by day, becoming ever smaller. The abject fear the status quo has towards
any real journalism has got to the point where once semi-well regarded elements of
the democratic left and middle are now just worthless shills for the paymasters of same old
                same old (Stephanopoulos).

I say we roll up these special interests in their flag, coat them with flag pins directly into
their flesh, and roast them over a fire of power to the people. Either that, or toss them
and their buffoonery straight into the dump.

                    From the New Yorker

"Call it the case of the Walt Disney Company v. People of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (and of the United States, for that matter). Seldom has a large corporation so heedlessly inflicted so much civic damage in such a short space of time.

ABC has defended the issues raised as being of "real importance." After all, it's not as if anything else was going on, right?

"If Gibson and his partner, George Stephanopoulos, had halted their descent at the level of the fatuous, that would have been bad enough. But there was worse to come. In the seven weeks since the previous Clinton-Obama debate, the death toll of American troops in Iraq had reached four thousand; the President had admitted that his "national-security team," including the Vice-President, had met regularly in the White House to approve the torture of prisoners; house repossessions topped fifty thousand per month and unemployment topped five per cent; and the poll-measured proportion of Americans who believe that "things have pretty seriously gotten off on the wrong track" hit eighty-one per cent, a record.

"Yet for most of the next hour Gibson and Stephanopoulos limited their questioning to the following topics: Obama’s April 6th remark about "bitter" small-towners; whether each candidate thinks the other can win; the Obama family’s ex-pastor, Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr.; Clinton’s tale of sniper fire in Bosnia; Obama’s failure to wear a flag lapel pin; and Obama’s acquaintance with a college professor in his Chicago neighborhood who, while Obama was in grade school, was a member of the Weather Underground."

<Go get your own house in order: you have abandoned children to child molesters.?>

Whilst your country abandons children to polygamists! Fortunately, your country is making an attempt by snatching over 400 children from the polygamists to attempt to figure out how to help them.

My home is in order. The country I live in is working on the pedophilia issue. We're even about to have a Truth and Reconciliation process with our indigenous people which I look forward to as long overdue.

None of these issues contribute to the discussion at hand, which is the media's complete inability to ask real questions about real issues when faced with the candidates. Ian raised a perfectly sound discussion, Cliff, and you have been unable to contribute to it.

Neither Clinton nor Obama were asked intelligent, difficult questions during this debate. The debate was and is a stain on the corporate media. It behooves the American voter to challenge this, in advance of the likely equally disturbing performance we might expect from the media leading up to November. At least screaming aloud now, may force the journalists to examine their personal performance. Without an outcry we can expect to see more Disney Debates cutting into the fibre of the American democracy as the media abandons the role that the founders expected it to take.

That is the issue we are discussing. Cliff, if you can contribute to that discussion, I'm sure we would be interested to hear your side. If you want to start a thread of your own to discuss pedophilia, I'm sure someone would be interested in watching you talk to yourself.

“Whilst” ?? Archaic old English much?

**************your country abandons children to polygamists!*******

Polygamy is merely against a moralistic law. It’s not evil on any level.

The real problem in Texas was the raiding households without proper warrants. They needed a warrant for each home describing the persons by name to be seized.
What they did in TX was like arresting a while town and abducting their children on the thesis that some one in the town was abusing some unknown children.
It wasn’t like it was exactly that. It was the government gone insane.

******** Fortunately, your country is making an attempt by snatching over 400 children from the polygamists to attempt to figure out how to help them. *******

                    I call it abduction.

For a person concerned with pedaphilia, one wonders if you understand that the young women (girls, really) are married off to men over 50 years of age when they are entering menopause (from age 11ish to age 14). If this is not evil in your estimation, then you really are a sick bear.

<It wasn’t like it was exactly that. It was the government gone insane. >

And yet you fail to realize that the leading police centre of excellence in the world focussed on internet child pornography is located in Toronto and is funded by Canadian taxpayers. Most of the criminals that have been located to date have been Americans. So now we're paying for policing your pedophiles.

As for your addition to the actual discussion at hand, I'd like to know which Chicago paper is doing the job???

My interest in the American election is that everything that happens in your country affects mine. You have forgotten that I lead an earlier examination into Obama's character several months ago. Many good ideas were put forth and questions asked and answered. Possibly you missed that discussion.

As for whether I would vote for Clinton or Obama, if I had the opportunity, I have to say I remain uncertain as to which would be best for humanity. Clinton would be more of the same old, same old shit - look at where her money comes from.

Obama on the other hand is worth investigating in my opinion, for the single reason that all of his funds have come from individual voters. I recall an early discussion where Gratephil and I indicated that our cheques had been returned because we did not qualify. Gratephil was submitting his on behalf of an association (I believe - correct me if I'm wrong on this). Obama is only accepting cheques and money from individual eligible voters. The fact that he has $40 million compared to Clinton's $8 million is a telling tale. You didn't see any questions about contributions, did you?

I find that (if it is indeed a practice) most troubling substantially more so than were it the occasional exception. And as it regards the FLDS I am unable to make heads or tails of all the accusations and allegations that fly about. There's a lot of emotional material trying to pass for solid information and damn little validation of any of it.

ERGO: when the state is intervening using the power of the state and the police the state must take care to attend to the rule of law. The constitution had a “Particularity clause” as it regards search and arrest warrants. Enforcement has to have a warrant that specifically describes the places ( street address) to be searched, the things to be searched for and the names of persons to be detained. If a warrant hasn’t got those things then it’s invalid on it’s face.

Those police agents in Texas served a few over generalized warrants treating all households like some lumped together entity and abducted all the children without regard for who the criminals were and who were not. That was 100% wrong.

As it regards polygamy If I ain't condemning the gay folk for wanting to marry why would I condemn straight folks for wanting non typical marriage arrangements. There should have never been an anti-Mormon set of laws in the first place and they should probably be re considered today. Something about the free exercise of religion not being inhibited by Congress in the first Amendment.

                        *******Someone needed to. **********

What some one needed to do was to plant an agent and conduct a real investigation. You can't just go about abducting children and invading homes.
Invading every home and abducting every child on the sole thesis that some person or persons made unspecific allegations is tyranny and it’s unconstitutional. They needed names and particulars. Absent a very good informant this should have been done by planting a police agent in the community just exactly like they do with the mob and outlaw biker gangs.

*******And yet you fail to realize that the leading police centre of excellence in the world focussed on internet child pornography is located in Toronto and is funded by Canadian taxpayers. The US DOJ has been using Canadian, German, and English police to conduce espionage on US citizens for a long time now. The funding is not wholly Canadian. It’s a cooperative effort. We spy on you lot you spy on us. And we both spy on the Germans and Brits who are also spying on us. Then the information sort of gets passed around.

<I find that (if it is indeed a practice) most troubling substantially more so than were it the occasional exception.>

My understanding of what triggered this (over) response by the authorities was a phone call from a 14 year old girl who was being beaten mercilessly by her 57 year old husband. I agree that the response was over the top but these marriages are being forced on these young girls and then they are essentially held captive in a compound as brood mares.

This morning I listened to a radio interview with a woman named Debbie Palmer who escaped a similar compound in Arizona with her 6 children. The reason she decided to leave was that her eldest daughter was being forced into a marriage with a 60+ year old elder in the church. That was the last straw for Ms. Palmer who had also been forced into marriage at 14. She said she was terrified to leave the compound because she didn't know or understand the outside world but decided to leave because she understood the evil her children were being raised to believe. Many of the people in the compound which was invaded are related to her. She has 39 step-children from her husband's other wives. All of those children are caught up in this but Ms. Palmer supports the raid by authorities because she said that someone has got to put a stop to this slavery and servitude to the sexual desires of a handful of old men. The young men are sent out to set up new compounds and they are given a few "starter" wives.

Hearing the story from this woman on the radio today made me realize how sick some religions can really make people. Ms. Palmer said that the girls have to accept the marriages due to the peer pressure put on them by the whole community. It is very difficult to resist when you have only been taught this way of life.

It is a blemish that we share - one of the compounds is here in Canada at Bountiful, British Columbia. Some of the children in Texas are Canadians from that compound who were taken down to Texas to serve as fresh blood. Some of the Texan children are in Bountiful. I believe it is a major crisis because it comes up against our freedom of religion and free speech laws.

A line needs to be drawn somewhere in this issue. Maybe an age limit for consent to marriage???

As for your plant idea, I agree except that these people live in compounds not cities. You can't infiltrate as they check the bloodlines of anyone they let in, according to Ms. Palmer.

Obama's past is partially a mystery and leaving aside the religious bit about Rev. Wright, it's probably worth going into deeper. The complaint i have about the Disney Debate was that there were no serious questions, it was rehashing of stupid things that had already been done to death. I wanted new material to mull over.

Clinton is just same old, same old bought-and-paid-for politician, in my opinion.

Although either Democrat would be better than McCain who lacks any shred of character. His father and grandfather are dizzy from spinning in their graves for the misery John has imposed on their proud legacies.

Being documented in Europe for a two year period when he was "supposedly" in a prison of war camp, for starters. Have you heard of any of his fellow prison mates standing up for McCain? Most of them have said he is a complete sham who sold them down the river for the little comforts he accepted from the enemy for himself. Then when he comes home, he ditches his bride for a rich girl. Later we find out he has fathered children in Vietnam. McCain hasn't a shred of decent character, at all. Not one iota. In fact, I'd go so far to say he'd be worse than Bush which is hard to believe is possible.

And Disney brings us a dolled up debate with no substance.

*************My understanding of what triggered this (over) response by the authorities was a phone call from a 14 year old girl who was being beaten mercilessly by her 57 year old husband. I agree that the response was over the top but these marriages are being forced on these young girls and then they are essentially held captive in a compound as brood mares. ******************

As it turns out it is starting to look like the call was a hoax made my a person with no affiliation with that community or with the FLDS in general who was in another state when she placed the call.

However take arguendo, the possibility of such a call happening and being real.
1.) The police have the telephone number displayed on their equipment and you can’t block your number when calling 911.

2.) The police needed an address. The pleas for help from a person claiming unlawful activity which person is in a location even if that person asking for help does not own the building is adequate license for the police to enter that specific building without a warrant. They should have gone directly to the person asking for help. The "Community Caretaking Doctrine" combined with the exigency of a person asking for help while articulating a crime covers that completely. The cops get to break in that door and it is OK. But not every door in town. Not the neighbor's door.

3.) The police are not authorized ( and should never be) to impugn an entire community ( or apartment building or rooming house) sweeping un-named persons and individual domiciles into the scope of a warrant that grants them entrance as to one particular domicile. The scope of the warrant can not be expanded based on police opinion or desire. The police have to go back to the judge to get a warrant's scope expanded.
………………(i) Take for example the information about the bedding in the temple. It was inconclusive and yielded no information at all about who might have used it or when or for what purpose. All that provided them was grounds to investigate further not ransack every home in the community.

What the police did was to deprive every single member of that community of their civil rights violating the 4th Amendment of the Constitution and tearing families apart on the word of an unknown informant whose veracity was never checked. The law in the US is that no anonymous informant’s information is valid to obtain a warrant unless that informant’s information is so highly particularized and detailed that the facts given become proved out as the police seek to validate the data.

EX: I telephone the police and tell them (anon) that You tried to sell me drugs in you house and I describe the house the door the view from the doorway onto the first room it opens onto and where the drugs are kept. I tell 'e,m you are clever and hide 'em behind the walls and in secret compartments.
If the police try to execute a warrant based on that information they have some problems.
They can do it but they need to validate the information I gave ‘em. I can swear under oath and appear before ar judge or the police can present my sworn affidavit to the judge. If I lied I am in the shitter big time~!! I face criminal charges and you will sue my ass. So the known informant has the indicia of reliability.

The anonymous informant can only get that indicia of reliability based on the cumulative additive result of the data he provodes leading the police one step at a time to come to the realization that the informant is telling the truth because the particulars provided begin to add up and bear fruit.

It is different if the police know who I was because I would have a penal interest in telling the truth. As an anonymous caller I am entirely unaccountable for the police tearing your house apart looking for your drugs.

But if I were able to do it anonymously:
I can wait the statutory period ( a few years) and then come and laugh in your face. "HA HA the pigs tore your house apart ripped open the walls , sliced up all the furniture, and shattered all your grand mothers heirloom china, broke up your flooring ripped down the ceilings held your children at gun point. And when they were done, you were left with nothing~!!
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA I sent ‘em there HA HA HA HA HA "

                            Wouldn't that be fun?

***********This morning I listened to a radio interview with a woman named Debbie Palmer who escaped a similar compound in Arizona with her 6 children. The reason she decided to leave was that her eldest daughter was being forced into a marriage with a 60+ year old elder in the church.************

I have head similar stories. That it may have happen as she says (and the veracity of her tale remains untested) does not mean that it happens on such a scale that EVERY member of the FLDS is doing it. And under law EVERY person in the nation is entitled to the full panoply of the rights guaranteed under the Constitution.

That it may happen at all to one person - or a few - is not a reason to up-end an entire community.

It’d be like the police hearing about an abused kid in my little town and deciding that EVERY home needs to be ripped apart to make sure they got it all.

No it would not merely be like that it was exactly that. It was exactly that the police violated every one’s rights in that community and they did it solely because the police hate people who stand apart and hold themselves aloof. They hate it when you tint your windows or pull your shades.

They didn’t conduct an investigation. This is another problem. Why didn’t they?
                            I know why they didn’t.

************** someone has got to put a stop to this slavery and servitude to the sexual desires of a handful of old men. The young men are sent out to set up new compounds and they are given a few "starter" wives. *********

Where this may be the practice you ( and Ms Palmer) are entirely correct. The way to do it is to infiltrate the FLDS with police agents just exactly like thy do with the mob the KKK and outlaw biker gangs etc.
There is one reason and one reason only why police don’t do it with groups like the FLDS. It is Ego.

Ego. Infiltrating the mob or the KKK or the Hells Angles shows you off as having boatloads of MACHISMO~!! Woo Hoo~!! Getting on your knees and praying to Baby Geebus and living a humble life subordinate to some pack of whiny assed religious zealots has absolutely no macho glamor so the police don’t even think of sending their people to infiltrate. Seriously, the idea doesn’t occur to them. They aren’t rejecting it out of hand, they aren’t having the idea in the first place because the things they’d have to do, the personalities they’d have to adopt have no tough guy glamor.

This whole “forced child bride” problem is the result of the police failing entirely to do their jobs. Only infiltration can break through the insularity and secrecy of these cults and get at verifiable facts.
The unanswerable question is: Whether it is true as the few who talk about it say it is – or are they merely histrionics who are impugning the whole lot of FLDS as pedophiles based on their personal rage and frustrations~?

And of course one is still left with the problem os having to take this one person's word for everything. Her account remains un-tested.
Ya see all you have is the world of a very angry person. It’s grounds to investigate but, not invade.

**********A line needs to be drawn somewhere in this issue. Maybe an age limit for consent to marriage??? ************

Yah this is true. Ya can’t get at the problem while one is suffering from a complete absence of verifiable facts.

As it stands in the USA you can’t “marry” more than one person. So if you have a lawful spouse and you take on another in the FLDS, the so called subsequent “marriages” are not marriages under law. There is no marriage license issued by the state. The marriage is a spiritual one and under the law that is perfectly OK so long as the participants are not under the legal age of consent. So the law actually has a perfectly valid mechanism to address the age problem.

If you are taking underage second spouses and having sex with them you are committing rape. That’s the law in every state.

The secular analogy to the FLDS “multiple marriage” is more like group living as multiple partners. Maybe cohabiting polyamory? The only laws that might be brought to bear against such a secularly based group-pesudo-marriage are those in the various municipalities that regulate how many unrelated persons can co-occupy a living unit.

*******As for your plant idea, I agree except that these people live in compounds not cities. You can't infiltrate as they check the bloodlines of anyone they let in, according to Ms. Palmer. **********

Oh~!! The insularity and smallness of the communities makes it perfect for infiltration. All you need is police agents to go through the process of joining up and become part of it all for a few years at a stretch just exactly like they do with the mob the KKK and the outlaw bikers. You don’t need DNA. All you need is to have your agents return and present the information gathered to obtain warrants. You merely need credible unbiased data sufficient to get a warrant. That is the whole reason for infiltration.

And infiltrating the FLDS would require that the agents adopt a FLDS zealot religious mentality and taking the time to become trusted. Just exactly like it does to infiltrate any other insular group.

                            - - - - (when that lie didn’t wash he then said) - - -
3.) (VIA his chief strategist) Obama apologizes if any one took the remarks wrongly and was offended.
                            - - - - (when that lie didn’t wash he then said) - - -
4.) I repudiate the what you wrongly took the remarks to say but, I won’t condemn the man.

And Obama thinks that crap disposed of the matter? That makes it all the more interesting and germane. If he has to lie about it ( three times) and pretend that every one is wrong about what the remarks mean then, Obama has a hell of a lot more explaining to do.

I found this statement about the leaflets that started the nasty rumors about McCain in the POW camp:

"Nothing could be further from the truth. I know because I was there," Orson Swindle, a retired Marine lieutenant colonel and former prisoner of war, said in a statement about the mailing from Vietnam Veterans Against John McCain."
                            Here: tinyurl.com/ytmoym

Where you can also find this statement:
" Kiley's group cites as evidence a May 1973 U.S. News & World Report article by McCain in which he said he realized, on his third or fourth day of captivity after his plane was shot down in 1967, that his knee was so swollen the blood might pool in it and kill him. So he offered to give military information to his captors in exchange for medical treatment."

In the article, McCain said he told the story to make the point that the North Vietnamese only gave medical treatment to POWs if they thought they were going to get something in return. He did not say that he went through with his end of the deal.

Kiley claims information McCain gave to the North Vietnamese led to an increase in U.S. planes being shot down. "

Jerry Kiley is a politically motivated player. He is an ardent hater of all things Vietnamese.
“Vietnam veteran Jerry Kiley, a longtime POW/MIA activist, threw a glass of red wine on Khai's vacated seat in front of Khai shortly after the prime minister rose to speak to diners in a ballroom at the Mayflower Hotel. The wine, which Kiley said symbolized innocent blood that continues to be spilled by the brutal and godless communist regime, splashed onto McCain, a former Vietnam POW, but did not strike Khai.”

However Kiley has a different version of that event:
“McCain is the best friend the Viet cong ever had. Just ask Bui Tin, a Vc specializing in murder and torture, who McCain hugged and laughed with when he visited in the 90s, or McCain’s best friend Phan Van Khai whom he honored at a banquet on June 21, 2005 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. Some red wine was spilled at that banquet, if I remember correctly.”

Other POWS who served with McCain call Kiley a conspiracy theorist and a liar:

Apparently Kiley is angry with McCain because of McCain’s having come to terms with the Vietcong and forgiven them. For that Kiley hates McCain and will do anything to hurt him.

Kiley has been arrested on federal charges for stalking the Vietnamese when they are in theUSA:

“Vietnam veteran and longtime POW/MIA activist Jerry Kiley was arrested by the U.S. Secret Service Tuesday evening and charged with a Federal crime. Agents charged Kiley under Title l8, United States Code, Section 112(B).
After a night and day in jail, Kiley was finally presented for arraignment to a federal judge in Washington's U.S. District Court. The judge set July 8, 2005 as trail date. Kiley was released after signing an agreement not to go anywhere around the White House, or Communist Vietnam's prime minister, Phan Van Khai and his delegation while they are still in the United States. “

Kiley hates John Kerry too: tinyurl.com/3gb4zs

Kiley’s hatred of McCain has driven him to invent a tale that has McCain conspiring with the Viet Cong to hide the bodies of MIA veterans. The guy is a crazy man.

A conservative says it best: www.wcltam.com/news/speci...edetail.cfm

Another Senator tells his true assessment of McCain:
"The thought of [McCain] being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me." -- Senator Thad Cochran of Mississippi, who has known McCain for 35 years.

McCain’s own words: “That, in large part, is how McCain views his time as a public man: A rough-riding joy ride careening from outrage to outrage, charge to charge, wherever the road leads.”

The charges against McCain are revealed in the documentary by such political luminaries as former New Hampshire Senator Bob Smith; Jesse Helms' chief of staff, Dr. James Lusier; former Congressman Bob Dornan; U.S. Senate lead investigator, Tracy Usery; and author, Dr. Joseph Douglass, Jr. ("Betrayed").

Until McCain stops his assault on the MIA/POW crowd who want the records unsealed, McCain's record in the POW camp is less believable. Some say he had it cushy, others disagree. I'd like to see the 50 hours of film to view for myself. As long as McCain opposes the release of those MIA/POW records, he looks like he's playing fast and loose with the truth about his own experience.

He also needs to release the tax returns of his wife. If he wants to continue to use her as a prop, then he needs to come clean like all the other candidates have. He's afraid of the elite label because she's very wealthy but instead he's got the label for being obstructionist.

To be considered a legitimate candidate, McCain also needs to answer the charges on illegal over-spending in this campaign. He needs to know you can't have your cake (public financing) and eat it too (overspending).

                                Hagee:
Just as a positional proposition: the phrase “ANTI CHRIST” in the original Greek of the new testament does not mean the same thing as the same phrase would in Latin. In Latin the word “ANTI” means against. In ancient Greek it meant “IN PLACE OF.” This makes for a Huge difference theologically. The Pope has declared himself God on Earth. ERGO: almost all of the Protestants (save Episcopalians) see this as fulfilling the requisite criteria to be the Anti Christ as foretold in the Revelation of John the Divine. The Pontiff of Rome has in their eyes sought to replace a direct relationship with God for all people by standing in the place of God.
So given that, it is unremarkable that there’s a lot of anti-catholic bias in protestant Christianity.
And When you see McCain saying something to the effect of: “I have listened to that guy for 20 years and he’s my mentor and spiritual advisor.” If you can get that you will have something. Until then, you got nothing.

                                Floyd Brown:
When you see McCain saying something to the effect of: “I have listened to that guy for 20 years and he’s my mentor and advisor.” If you can get that you will have something. Until then, you got nothing.

                                Diamond:
“McCain helped a wealthy and generous donor buy land from the Army -- complete with special water rights -- for a quarter of a million dollars, which McCain's buddy then sold two years later for $20 million. There's a term for this -- it's called "influence peddling," and it's exactly the kind of thing McCain swears he never gets involved with.”

Well that bears some further inquiry.
But unless all they have is the bald assertion the unproven allegation then, all they have is a reason to look further. Let ‘em look.
